Blair Morgan May Never Race Again

Blair Morgan, one of the most recognized names in snocross and Canadian motocross, was in a serious motocross accident over the weekend. He was apparently thrown from his bike and the fall broke his back in several places. He severed his spine and could possibly be paralyzed from the chest down. The accident happened during practice for the Montreal Supercross at Olympic Stadium. This was to be his last race before moving to snocross for the season. Morgan broke his back in a crash in 2003, but was up on his feet and racing within 6 months.  After this, the outlook does not look good for Blair to ever compete again.

This is a severe tragedy that all involved in any professional sport must be prepared for. I, for one, am totally bummed; the recent news of Morgan joining BOSS racing added to my excitement for the upcoming snocross season. Our deepest sympathy goes out to his teams, family and friends and we wish for a strong recovery.  (BB)
